Romantasy (fantasy with a romance subplot) & fantasy romance (romance in a fantasy setting)
Dark Romance & Dark Fantasy Romance
We publish across the spectrum of dark romance, from books with a villain MMC to those highlighting a beautiful romance tucked beneath dark elements
Romantasy & Fantasy Romance
For the books in either of these categories, we prefer that authors have a planned duology or longer to allow for adequate world-building.
Contemporary: Military & New Adult Romance
The romance genre covers so many options for subplots but at Phoenix Born Books we prefer to stay within the military, new adult, and adjacent spaces.
